Barometer of website visibility in AI answer engines

The Barometer publishes its percentages once 20 different sites have been audited, so that the figures are meaningful. 0 site(s) audited so far: add yours.

Of the 0 sites audited by TraceFlow Lens, 0% prevent at least one AI search engine (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity…) from reading their pages, and 0% have no structured data at all. Figures as of .

0%

block at least one AI search crawler

Crawlers that read pages to cite their sources: OAI-SearchBot and ChatGPT-User (OpenAI), Claude-SearchBot and Claude-User (Anthropic), PerplexityBot, Amazonbot.

0%

block at least one training crawler

GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, Applebot-Extended, Meta-ExternalAgent, CCBot, Bytespider. A legitimate choice, which does not prevent being cited.

0%

have no structured data

No valid JSON-LD block: search engines and AIs have to guess who publishes the page and what it is about.

0%

have no findable sitemap

Neither declared in robots.txt nor at the usual locations (/sitemap.xml, /sitemap_index.xml, /wp-sitemap.xml).

0%

are empty without JavaScript

Fewer than 80 readable words in the HTML received: most AI crawlers, which do not run JavaScript, see almost nothing.

0%

forbid their own indexing

A “noindex” tag or header on the audited page, often forgotten after going live.

0%

offer an llms.txt file

A recent format that presents a site and its key pages to AIs.

0/100

average visibility score

Average of all the audits run on TraceFlow Lens.

How are these figures calculated?

The Barometer combines two sources: a reference panel of 0 well-known sites (major media, brands, banks, public services, African companies), audited by our team and detailed in our study, and the sites audited by our users. Each audit records the domain name, the score and seven findings (yes or no). To avoid counting the same site twice, the Barometer only keeps the latest audit of each domain. Page content is never stored.

Sites that refuse our crawler (anti-bot firewall) are left out of the panel. The whole is not a representative sample of the entire web: it reflects well-known sites and those of professionals who care about their visibility.

Can I reuse these figures?

Yes, freely, under the Creative Commons BY 4.0 licence, by citing “TraceFlow Lens Barometer” with a link to this page. The raw figures are available in JSON at /api/stats.
