What is the llms.txt file?
llms.txt is a format proposed in 2024: a Markdown text file, placed at the root of the site, that presents your business and the list of your important pages to large language models. AIs still use it little, but it is simple to set up and risk-free. Only 14% of the major sites in our study have one.
How do I publish the file?
Review and complete the introduction sentence, then save the text as llms.txt at the root of the site (https://yoursite.com/llms.txt). On WordPress, Yoast SEO can generate it (Settings > Site features), or upload the file with your host’s file manager.
